The first Bearcat Coaches Show after Thanksgiving highlights Northwest Missouri State football entering a playoff rematch from 2018 and the start to the indoor track and field season with a home meet this weekend.

On the gridiron, the Northwest meets Ferris State Saturday at noon. A season ago, the Bulldogs beat the Bearcats 27-21 in the second round of the playoffs. Head coach Rich Wright, assistant head coach Charlie Flohr and running backs Justin Rankin and Isaiah Strayhorn joined this week's show.

Northwest track and field opens the indoor season Friday and Saturday with the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic in the Hughes Fieldhouse on campus. The Bearcat men's team begins the season ranked eighth in the country, while the women's team is 14th. Head coach Brandon Masters spoke with John Coffey about the home meet this weekend, and expectations for each team.
